Ajit Yadav knows exactly what it costs to chase a sporting dream without support. He has spent the last five years ensuring no child in Jaunpur has to find out.
Ajit Yadav
's story
Sport was Ajit's obsession from Class 5, but the system kept closing doors: his father pulled him out of state-level selection to focus on academics, and when he found his calling in shooting, a single rifle cost more than his family could afford. Though he never got to live his dream, he has refused to let go of the mission.

The work that
Ajit Yadav
puts in
Ajit now trains 50 children every year, 25 girls and 25 boys aged 8 to 16, across caste and religion, asking only for talent and hunger. Most cannot afford the sport on their own. After significant persuasion, he secures a four-year commitment from parents, including those from communities where girls playing sport is still considered taboo.

Impact of the work
According to Ajit, in the last one year, six of his athletes qualified for district and state games, with one winning multiple medals at the inter-university level. He and his two coaches run morning and evening sessions for 50 student athletes every single day, sourcing equipment and gear through his networks to ensure cost is never a barrier to participation. The parents of his athletes hold him accountable for their children's sporting futures, a responsibility he takes seriously.
What your funds will unlock
Your support will help Ajit get 50 more children into the program and push at least 20 athletes to state and national levels. He will use future funding to provide steady incomes for his coaches, and find a way to give his athletes the diet that track demands but their families cannot afford.
Ajit has spent years proving that where you come from should never determine how far you go. Will you back him reach more children?
